Join this collaborative community to discuss topics and issues related to the implementation of Assistive Technology.

This learning opportunity is open to educators and technology specialist who are responsible for and/or participate in the management, implementation and fidelity assessment of assistive technology devices and services at the district and/or school level. We will share resources and explore challenges with implementing assistive technology based on IDEA requirements.

Please join us as we work to build capacity within our school systems/schools and learn how to empower our IEP teams, teachers, students and parents to consider and implement assistive technology with fidelity! 

Meeting Dates and Proposed Topics:
Sept 1st:
Logistics of rolling out TextHelp's extensions, Assistive Technology Partnership TOOLS for LIFE, Leveraging AT tools in a Virtual World, Other topics selected by participants

November 3rd:
Leveraging AT tools in a Virtual World Continued, Assistive Technology and Transition, Other topics selected by participants

February 9th:
Leveraging AT tools in a Virtual World Continued, Assistive Technology Assessment, Other topics selected by participants

March 3rd:
Leveraging AT tools in a Virtual World Continued, Assistive Technology Implementation, Other topics selected by participants

Format: Virtual via Zoom September 1st and November 3rd - Possible in person February 9th and March 3rd

Time: 9am - 12pm

*Participants may be asked to review some content asynchronously prior to some virtual sessions.


Participants will need a laptop/tablet and internet access
