Did you know that according to research, by age ten, morphological awareness is a better predictor of decoding ability than phonological awareness? This class will delve into the importance of morphology and looking at basic Latin & Greek morphemes that can unlock the meaning to over 100,000 words for students.
Participants will walk away with implementation strategies that can be implemented in any classroom setting the next day. Participants will leave with textbook and lessons ready for the classroom for the upcoming year.
This course is a stand alone course, but can also count as 1 of the 5 courses required for WGRESA Literacy Micro-Credential. Participants who are counting this class towards Literacy Microcredentialing will need to submit implementation reflection.

Participants will need a laptop for this session.
