Cultural Issues in ESOL—candidates will explore the nature of culture and gain an understanding of how one’s own and others' assumptions, attitudes and behaviors are shaped by culture; gain insight into the connections among language, culture, and education; gain first-hand experience with crossing cultural boundaries; and become conversant with classroom materials and techniques dealing with culture and cultural diversity.
Applicants must complete a ESOL Endorsement Candidate Application Form to be approved by RESA to enter the ESOLEndorsement Program and/or attend ESOL courses.
