Course Description More Details
Fostering a culturally responsive classroom is just as much about what you do as what you intend. Based on the Deep Equity work of Gary Howard and NYU’s Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Strategies, this course will provide resources and protocols for developing a learning environment that both invites and celebrates all students and their unique cultural experiences.
Participants will receive digital resources on 7/1/2021 to work through asynchronously at their own pace.
As a culminating activity, participants will join a live, synchronous session on 7/7/2021 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm to share their thoughts with other school and teacher leaders and receive additional strategies and resources.
Estimated time investment for both the pre-work and live session is three hours.
Participants will need a laptop/tablet ad internet access
