This self-paced, introductory course is designed to provide educators with an overview of human development, or more specifically lifespan development, with an emphasis on birth to adolescence. This content has been adapted to provide a practical description and considerations for educators who work with diverse learners from various backgrounds.
Learning Targets:
- The learner will be able to describe a contextual perspective for development across the lifespan.
- The learner will be able to discuss the focus of lifespan development and factors that impact development.
- The learner will be able to identify areas where people show change and growth in development.
- The learner will be able to identify periods where people show change and growth in development.
- The learners will reflect on his/her impact on students' development now and in the future.
