West Central GLRS is excited to offer “Conversations Julie Weatherly, Esq.” This session is perfect for school administrators and Special Education Leads.
This day long session will address the following topic:
General rules regarding discipline of students with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504 Practical application of the general rules of discipline regarding removals (i.e., bus suspension, in-school suspension, and other "informal exclusions")
Defensible manifestation determinations
Application of the 45-day "special circumstances" to incidents involving dangerous weapons, illegal drugs, and serious bodily injuries.
Participants will need a laptop for this session.
