The Georgia Department of Education Office of Students with Disabilities is offering a 2-day training to support teachers of students with the most significant cognitive disabilities.
Day 1 is designed to focus on engagement, communication, prompting hierarchy, and task analysis.
Day 2 focuses on aligning standards, scheduling, and wraps up with a make and take.
This training is most suited to educators who directly supervise teachers of students with significant cognitive disabilities, new special education teachers and/or teachers that may need to revisit best practices in teaching students with significant cognitive disabilities.
